Born out of wild experimentation twenty years ago, Desperados dared to brew the world's first Tequila Flavoured Beer. Desperados beer is brewed by Heineken
Heineken spokesman Michael Fuchs says Desperados “is a beer flavoured with tequila. The flavouring we use contains tequila, which we buy in Mexico from one of the members of the CRT . . . We make sure the product fully complies with all regulations and labelling requirements.”
Heineken does not disclose what proportion of the product is flavouring, how much tequila ends up in a bottle of Desperados, or its recipe for the tequila flavouring.
