Chivas Regal Whisky traces its roots back to 1801. Chivas Regal's home is Strathisla Distillery at Keith, Moray in Speyside, Scotland, the oldest serving Highland distillery which was, established in 1786.
Chivas Brothers trace its roots to the availability of a grocery store at 13 King St, Aberdeen, 1801.
The shop sold luxury foodstuffs such as coffee, exotic spices, French brandies, and Caribbean rums to a wealthy clientele. In 1842, Chivas Brothers were hired to supply provisions to the Royal family in Balmoral Castle upon Queen Victoria's initial visit to Scotland.
In 1843, Chivas Regal Brothers were, awarded a Royal Warrant to supply goods to Queen Victoria.
